Summary
ACORE CAPITAL is seeking motivated and detail-oriented candidates for a paid internship in Asset Management. This role offers hands-on experience in managing real estate loan portfolios, understanding complex loan structures, and collaborating with senior asset managers on high-value real estate investments. ACORE CAPITAL offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment that challenges professionals to think critically and develop impactful solutions for complex real estate projects. We manage structured debt products including senior, bridge, and mezzanine loans across various asset types such as multifamily, industrial, retail, office and hospitality.
Responsibilities
• Analyze borrower financial statements, rent rolls, property appraisals, and capital improvement plans to assess the ongoing health of collateral assets.
• Track market trends, property-level performance, and borrower financial conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities within the portfolio.
• Participate in borrower meetings, property site visits, and portfolio reviews as needed.
• Support asset managers in preparing internal reports, loan reviews, and recommendations for senior management.
• Assist in maintaining internal asset management databases and ensure accurate data tracking of loan performance and property information.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of active loans within ACORE CAPITAL’s portfolio, ensuring compliance with loan covenants and financial performance metrics.
Skills
• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in financial modeling, particularly in Excel.
• Interest in commercial real estate, structured finance, and loan asset management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with financial software and databases such as CoStar, STR, Argus, Yardi, etc. is a plus.
